Biography - Bill McMinn

Bill McMinn is a veteran of many years of leadership in the petrochemical industry, having served in a number of research and marketing capacities with major companies in the field leading to management positions with FMC Corp. and Cain Chemical Company, where he was CEO at the time of its sale to Occidental Chemical in 1988.  He also served as Chairman of Arcadian Chemical Company and Texas Petrochemicals.  Currently he is Senior Advisor of The Sterling Group and a member of the board of directors of Carbon Technologies, Inc, Dunti Corp., and Gabriel Holdings, Inc.

He has taken an active role in a number of civic, political, and education organizations, and has served in a number of statewide leadership positions, including the founding chairmanship of the Houston CEO Foundation and State Finance Chairman of Associated Republicans of Texas, and he currently serves as Chairman of the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

Bill is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and did graduate work at St. Thomas University.
