Biography - Patricia B. Bubb

Patricia G. (Pat) Bubb is executive director of Tech Prep of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc., a position she has occupied for 18 years.  Tech Prep of the Rio Grande Valley, Inc., is a private-sector-led consortium of businesses, 32 school districts, 5 colleges and universities, and others partnering together to improve student performance in the region of Texas' Rio Grande Valley.  The Rio Grande Valley partnership encompasses four lower South Texas counties including Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy, and serves a population that is youthful and predominantly Hispanic.  Prior to assuming her role with Tech Prep RGV, Bubb was a program chair for Texas State Technical College in Harlingen and a master instructor in the TSTC faculty-ranking system.  She is active in community service, working with the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, the McAllen Economic Development Corporation, and other partners on various initiatives.  She also volunteers numerous hours in her church.  Bubb, who has a BA degree in English, spent 12 years working as a legal secretary and legal assistant.  She and her husband reside in Harlingen and are the parents of three grown children.
