Andrew Erben Elected TIER President

The Board of Directors of the Texas Institute for Education Reform (TIER) has elected Andrew C. Erben as President. He succeeds James M. Windham, who has been elected Chairman of the two-year old non-profit organization which advocates for reform of K-12 education policy designed to enhance student achievement, lower high school dropout rates, and increase college readiness. Erben was previously director of strategic and public affairs for two major home building companies in Austin and has served as director of legislative affairs for the Texas home building industry and chief of staff for a state legislator. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. TIER also announced the pending relocation of its offices from Houston to Austin.
